After the escape of thousands of salmon from the Killary salmon farm it's very important to keep our native stock free from those artificial fish.

To report any sightings of escaped farmed fish, anglers and members of the public are encouraged to call,
Inland Fisheries Ireland’s confidential hotline number on 1890 34 74 24, which is open 24 hours a day.

To identify Escapee's here is some info;

On the left wild salmon: Straight and even lines in the fins and pointy edges.
On the right farmed salmon: frayed fins with round edges
